Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
I was out grocery shopping with Ashley a few weeks ago and a woman in line behind us commented on her little curl. She said she remembered a poem about a little girl with a curl, and asked if I had heard it. I hadn't, so I googled it and literally laughed out loud! When I saw this picture, I knew it would make a perfect layout.
I finally got an ink cartridge this weekend for my printer, so I was able to finish that one up, and one about Nick on his 9th birthday from last month.
Lots of Studio Calico kits on both of those.
I also have a quick home decor project I finished this weekend. It's an 8x8 shadow box frame. I used some October Afternoon papers for the actual layout, and then the SC Nadiya stamps for the "home". Since it's a shadow box frame, I was able to use pop dots to mount the title slightly raised from the background. The felt heart is actually attached on the outside of the frame, so there is a lot of dimension in this project.
Eventually I will hang it in our entry way or mud room when we are all done with our house.
We had a great weekend. Lots of movies, lattes and scrapping time. What more could I want?? Tony and I aren't big on celebrating Valentine's Day, but he did get me some gorgeous flowers. They smell wonderful!!
We spent Sunday afternoon at my parents' house. The kids had a great time, and got to see Auntie Nicky and Uncle Pat too. I always have the best of intentions to get lots of pictures, but they just wouldn't hold still. Way too much fun to be had :)
In fact, the only decent picture I got of Logan was when he was sleeping on the way there.
The funny thing about this picture is he has a new buddy with him. He found a panda bear that used to be Nick's and he is now carrying around his bear AND his doggy. Logan sat and played Lincoln Logs with Grandpa Taylor most of the night and was in heaven!
Wow, very grown-up (and photogenic!!) don't you think?
Ashley was our little fireball! After warming up to everyone, she was running non-stop, out ate both of the boys, and was seriously loving her Uncle Pat.
Definitely a very good weekend.
