of being sick. I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever end. The only positive is that everyone else in the house has pretty much managed to avoid it all together. Logan and Ashley each had a low-grade fever for one day, but that's about it.
Even though we missed out on quite a few plans and activities the past two weeks, life with kids never really stops. Even when Mom is sick.
Nick
participated in a Cub Scout Service Project and hung-up birdhouses at a semi-local park with his den.
Logan
got a hair cut. This is the before picture and he was long overdue! He also spent a special day with Daddy at the Evergreen Aviation Museum.
He had some funny conversations with Daddy that day that I'll share later. He is quite the little character!
Ashley
is growing like a weed, and is no longer cooperating when I want to take her picture. She is adding words to her vocabulary every day, is obsessed with Elmo, and has quite the head of unruly curls :)
You know I've been sick when I say I haven't really scrapped at all the last two weeks, lol! I do have two projects I finished up to share though. I participated in a 6-week class hosted by Summer. She truly is amazingly-talented with her altered projects! She has been the source of inspiration for all of my recent home decor projects, including these last two.
These are three 8x10 flat-panel canvases. I used Modge-podge (which I have a love-hate relationship with!) to adhere the pictures to the canvases, and then added some simple embellishments. These are hanging above my nightstand in my bedroom.
I used a piece of 12x12 acrylic for the base of this project. The picture is of Ashley when she was three weeks old and I have it displayed on the top of her dresser.
I'm really hoping the sickness is on its way out of our house so I can dig into the March Studio Calico kit (and gorgeous Taffeta add-on that was an early birthday present for me) that arrived yesterday.
Your projects are absolutely gorgeous!! AND... you children are just precious!! I am glad you are feeling better. We all had the sickies in this house - seemed to last forever!!
